Bald Knob Public Schools is closely monitoring the potential for severe weather in our area on Wednesday, April 2. The safety of students and staff remains the top priority, and the district is prepared to take necessary precautions as conditions develop.

Severe Weather Protocols:

• Bus & Car Rider Procedures: If severe weather warnings are issued during dismissal, buses will not leave, and car riders will remain safely inside until conditions improve.

• Sheltering in Place: In the event of an active tornado threat, students and staff will shelter in place, and checkouts will not be permitted until it is safe to do so.

• Early Dismissal: If an early dismissal is required, families will receive phone and text notifications, and updates will be posted on the school’s social media platforms.

Important Reminder for Families:

Please do not call the school to ask about early dismissals. Office staff receive this information only moments before an official announcement is made, and a high volume of calls increases the risk of miscommunication.

Stay Informed

The district will provide updates on any bus delays or weather-related changes as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation as Bald Knob Public Schools works to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Stay weather-aware, and be prepared to take precautions as needed.
